Building Update 5/10

After the recent storms we had a lot to handle in our office and as individuals. We’re glad to say that things are back on track and we have some exciting projects coming up.

We will be reopening registration soon for our home construction at 630 Iowa Street. We are waiting until the concrete is cured on the foundation before offering any more dates to prevent future scheduling difficulties.

The construction that has been completed has met all inspection requirements so far, including our recent plumbing inspection.

Later this week we have a project in association with Norman’s Aging in Place initiative which seeks to modify the existing homes of seniors to accommodate their changing mobility needs. Our contribution to projects of this type is the building of a ramp, which will enable program beneficiaries to more easily leave their homes and remain active in the community.

Posts set in preparation for a Cleveland County Habitat for Humanity ramp build.

Finally, we are planning an event in June to help the J.D. McCarty Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities revitalize their historic boxcar.
