David is an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma, specializing in housing issues such as aging in place and creating age-friendly communities. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design, a Bachelor of Architecture, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma. As a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), David is currently developing age-friendly and affordable housing units in Norman. He has been appointed to various ad hoc citizen committees to oversee updates to the city’s ADA Transition Plan and to help develop an accessible housing policy in Norman.
With 40 years of experience participating in Habitat for Humanity projects around the OKC area, David serves on multiple committees on the Rose Rock Habitat for Humanity board. He recognizes the critical need for affordable housing both locally and globally. By joining the Habitat board, David aims to design sustainable, affordable housing that is not only historically valuable but also aesthetically pleasing.
