Rose Rock Habitat for Humanity has announced the difficult decision to close its Shawnee ReStore, which has been in operation for the past 18 months. The store, located in the Shawnee Mall, will permanently close its doors on September 13, 2025 due to rising operational costs, limited foot traffic, and a lack of consistent donations.
Rose Rock Habitat for Humanity thanks all donors, shoppers, volunteers, and staff who supported the Shawnee ReStore. While this chapter is closing, the organization’s commitment to Shawnee and the surrounding communities remains strong.
Although the Shawnee ReStore is closing, Rose Rock Habitat for Humanity will continue serving Shawnee families through its core mission. Rose Rock will continue to fight for and provide affordable housing in Pottawatomie County.
The Norman ReStore remains open and thriving, continuing to provide affordable home improvement items and generating vital revenue to support Habitat’s mission.
Rose Rock Habitat for Humanity remains dedicated to ensuring that families in the community have safe, decent, and affordable housing.
