Celebrating the Grand Opening of Rose Rock Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Shawnee: A Momentous Occasion

As we bid farewell to 2023 and look forward to a new year, I can’t help but feel immense gratitude and pride as I reflect on the remarkable achievements we’ve accomplished together. Our shared commitment to building a better community has brought about tangible and lasting change in the lives of many.

On a beautiful day in Shawnee, surrounded by friends, family, community members, and distinguished guests, we gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the Rose Rock Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The event was a testament to the power of community collaboration and the shared vision of creating positive change.

The agenda was packed with heartfelt speeches, acknowledgments, and a sense of anticipation for the journey ahead. Randy Gardner, our President and CEO, welcomed everyone with warmth and gratitude, expressing appreciation for their presence and support. He highlighted the importance of community collaboration and the significant role each person plays in creating positive change.

We were honored to have several distinguished guests in attendance, including State Senator Shane Jett, Mayor Ed Bolt, and Crystal Romanyszyn, President of Shawnee Forward. Their presence underscored the importance of the occasion and emphasized the shared commitment to building a stronger, more compassionate community.

As we reflected on the journey that led us to this moment, Randy Gardner took a moment to express heartfelt thanks to our community partners and sponsors. Their unwavering support and dedication have been instrumental in making the ReStore in Shawnee a reality.

Among the many individuals mentioned, special recognition was given to Bob and Kelly Weaver, whose remarkable commitment and generosity have left an indelible mark on our endeavors. Their tireless advocacy and steadfast dedication have been a driving force behind our move to Shawnee and the success of our initiatives.

Crystal Wagoner was also acknowledged for her invaluable support and contributions to our cause. Her unwavering dedication and friendship have been a source of inspiration to us all.

The event was filled with moments of inspiration and reflection, culminating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony that officially marked the opening of the ReStore. It was a joyous occasion, filled with laughter, smiles, and a sense of optimism for the future.

As we look ahead to the opportunities and challenges that await us, we carry with us the spirit of compassion, collaboration, and dedication that defines our community. Together, we will continue to build homes, communities, and hope for generations to come.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this momentous occasion. Your support and commitment mean the world to us. Now, let’s go buy some stuff and make a difference together.
