Responsibilities: Accept the mission of Habitat for Humanity as a housing ministry dedicated to building homes in partnership with a community of people in need. Faithfully attend and participate in Board Meetings and other functions requiring Board leadership, direction or example. Serve actively on at least one standing committee. Ensure the Habitat affiliate has adequate finances through personal contributions, fundraising efforts and/or in-kind donations and that monies are responsibly spent. Participate in development of long-term goals for Habitat affiliate. Supervise, support, give direction and lend expertise to the Habitat President and CEO. Participate in special events such as dedications, ground breakings, wall raisings, fundraisers, etc. Invite friends, family and colleagues to attend Habitat events (dedications, fundraisers, etc.) to familiarize them with Habitat and our mission.
