Students Participating in Community Employment

What is SPICE?

Rose Rock Habitat for Humanity is proud to cooperate with Norman Public Schools’ SPICE program. SPICE, or Students Participating in Community Employment offers two programs: On the Job Training, and Job Coaching, to junior and senior students with disabilities.

On the Job Training offers students, through Vocational Rehabilitation Services, the opportunity for paid positions within the community. Payment is provided by the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitative Services and the Norman school district. Job Coaching offers students, with a trained job coach, the opportunity to learn vocational skills through a community-based job experience.

Rose Rock Habitat is grateful to receive the help of students enrolled in SPICE four days per week during each semester of school.
